ABOUT BMXTVDIRECT.COM

We founded BMXTVDIRECT.COM early in the 2006 season. A lifelong BMX racer myself, I had just completed a few seasons of reliving glory days of my youth. With a few years of chasing NAG plates (and some injuries along the way) under my belt, I decided to combine a passion for BMX with my job and went on the road with cameras instead of bikes. In 2006 we did it on our own. Our production company, Lillethorup Productions, Inc. provided all the cameras, computers, audio and video gear to make it happen. We produced DVDs of 16 ABA National events in 2006. It was a first for BMX - DVDs available of all quarters, semis and main events!
The idea for a website where members could join and view main events was an idea tried in past but never perfected. We had another first for the sport when we developed a succesful website for members. Main events are archived and viewable online.
Next came another first - Live Webcasts! We developed the concept for webcasts and teamed with ABA to provide free webcasts at their Blackjack Nationals in Reno, Nevada and Fall Nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The idea evolved into a "pay per view" system and hundreds of viewers purchased and tuned into the 2006 ABA Grand Nationals.
Since early last season, with 16 events covered last year and over 20 so far in 2007, we have produced approximately 200 hours of ABA BMX racing (quarters, semis and mains) on DVD! After 20 stops this year, there will be approx. 120 hours of archived main events on the web site!
Thanks to everyone who has helped make BMXTVDIRECT.COM a reality. Foremost are our customers. Thanks for buying our race DVDs and joining the website. This is something BMX has needed for a long time. If just a few of these DVDs make it to schools, birthday parties or wherever kids gather to have fun, then we are doing our job as ambassadors of BMX. Hopefully the sport will grow because of efforts like this.
I am excited about creating this website and race coverage on a scale that has never been seen in action sports. We will offer much more for the subscribers than ever before.

The ABA and Tim Lillethorup Partner to Offer Race Coverage and More on New Website
Gilbert, Arizona—November 16, 2006— The ABA (American Bicycle Association) announced today that it has reached an agreement with Tim Lillethorup/Lillethorup Productions, Inc to form a new BMX (Bicycle Motocross) website that will debut in 2007. The content-rich, interactive website will be ABABMX.tv and in 2007 will broadcast all 27 ABA National events, with 14 events live! The new partnership will also create even more excitement with interactive features, tips from top Professional riders, new products and more.
“The ABA experimented in 2006 by offering several national events as live simulcast on our website, it provided our members with an exciting way to view the races they could not attend. We have taken many bold steps recently to bring BMX to the forefront of action sports. Teaming with Tim Lillethorup will provide more exposure for the sport and more fun for all BMX enthusiasts!”, says Clayton John, ABA President. Tim Lillethorup and his bmxtvdirect group will merge with the newly formed ABABMX.tv in January 2007. Lillethorup’s group has been providing the support and capturing the action for the ABA’s live events in 2006 as well as offering DVD’s of selected races.
“I am excited about teaming with the ABA and creating a website and race coverage on a scale that has never been seen in action sports. Together we will offer much more for the subscribers than ever before.” stated Tim Lillethorup, President of Lillethorup Productions, Inc. ABA is working with a new production company to bring the exciting ABA Nationals Series Racing to your living room. TIM LILLETHORUP and his production crew are spear heading the effort to bring this to the ABA members. Tim has a very long history with ABA, he is a past AA Pro, editor of BMXer magazine, coach at woodward BMX camps, owner of Direct Link Bicycles, mutli-time NAG plate holder, and the list goes on and on. Like I said, Tim has a long, long history with ABA, and BMX racing in general.
